Here is what that process looks like.
We Find Them
Step 1
Friends of Butterfly actively seeks out organizations doing extraordinary work for vulnerable children. We're not waiting for grant applications. We're looking for people already in the field, already getting results, already close to something sustainable -- who just need a push to finish.
We Vet Them
Step 2
Not every good cause earns our support. Before we raise a dollar, we ask hard questions:
Is the work already happening?
Is there a clear path to self-sufficiency?
Would our funding complete something -- not just extend it?
We fund the finish line.
We Fund Them
Step 3
Once a partner clears our bar, we go to work. We raise funds, engage corporate sponsors, run campaigns, and make sure the money gets to the people who need it, fast, clean, and accountable.
We Watch Them Fly
Step 4
The goal is always the same: make ourselves unnecessary. When a partner organization reaches sustainability, that's not the end of the relationship, it's the whole point of it.

A Vision for Lasting Change
Today, Bertha's House serves more than 100 children, some as young as six years old, who are living alone or surviving on the streets.
The organization also supports single mothers and widows who have been abandoned by family members or left without economic opportunities.
The mission is simple:
empower women and children to transform their own lives and strengthen their communities. Children receive nutritious meals, educational support, and access to school. Women are equipped with practical skills, including agriculture, tailoring, and entrepreneurship, enabling them to generate income and build sustainable futures for their families.
