It all started at an orphanage in China

Fifteen years ago, Friends of Butterfly was formed to raise funds for The Butterfly Children’s Hospices in China. We showed up, we helped build something, and eventually, they didn't need us anymore.

That's what success looks like to us.

With the Chinese organization now self-sufficient, we turned our focus to Malawi, where a young team of entrepreneurs was building a social enterprise from the ground up.

That's exactly who we exist for.
